Hitchcock Family Practice is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Matt Hitchcock founded the clinic catering to all of his patients’ needs with a direct doctor-patient relationship, return the medical decision-making power back to the doctor and patient. Recently moving to a new location, Dr. Hitchcock now has the support staff and expertise of other doctors around him. His new location has the space for a pharmacy, which he sells at a lower price than a typical pharmacy. Additionally, he has the space and staff to provide imaging services to his patients. 

Pediatric care is a major sector that Dr. Hitchcock focuses on. He has chosen Remmie to be a part of his solution.

"We are aware of the difficulties that children experience with ear infections and have chosen Remmie to be a part of his solution. I love being able to show the parents (or adults) what I'm see and why or why not I'm doing antibiotics! I also think including the photos in the chart for documentation is the way to go! It is so much better than a written exam."

He was impressed with how Remmie could help him interact with families, especially those with difficulty accessing care or with special needs.

He shared once that he had great experience with Remmie with an adult patient who was convinced he had something in his ear. He was able to show him that it was just and effusion and talk though how to treat it.

He has implemented demonstration of the Remmie 3 home otoscope into his practice, allowing his patients to provide imaging and video to him from home. Dr. Hitchcock is a fan of using the Remmie in and out of the clinic - in the clinic, he could show the ear images using the Remmie 3 as a tool to engage and educate parents and children. Streaming a live video to his iPad, parents now can show Dr. Hitchcock the angles he needs to provide a diagnosis. At home, parents can snap a photo and send to the office before being seen in person.  

Dr. Hitchcock is one of the physicians who enjoys utilizing new technology to improve his practice to provide continued quality care for his patients. The Remmie solution has gifted peace of mind and saved time to many of his patients.
