Streamlining your patient intake for ear-nose-throat conditions
Remmie Care includes a patient app and a clinical portal that work together. Patients capture ear, nose, and throat images and share health info through the app. Clinicians review this data to save time and guide patients to the right care, either virtual or in-person.
ENT conditions are very common, especially in young children, and often lead to avoidable ER visits that could be handled in primary or urgent care settings. Remmie Care helps reduce these unnecessary visits by enabling remote care and early assessment. It also addresses major healthcare challenges like staff shortages, limited resources, and high costs through a more efficient, streamlined workflow.
ENT issues are common in kids and often cause unnecessary ER visits. Remmie Care helps by allowing remote checkups and early assessment. It also makes healthcare more efficient by tackling staff shortages, limited resources, and high costs.
Remmie Care lets patients with ENT issues do pre-visit assessments from home. This helps primary care providers see more patients and improve care quality, access, and reimbursement. ER and ENT specialists can focus on patients who really need in-person treatment.
"Fantastic value add for medical in general, but more specifically for direct primary care, to not have to drag people in for every little ache and pain."
"When you do telemedicine visits, I'm often unable to visualize their ears, Remmie could fill that gap. Because it is easy to use and provides a clear image."
"It is wonderful especially for children who have had repeated issues with ear infections. You (parents) can look at them every time you want to because you are not paying copay every time to look."
The Remmie is a dual-mode connected otoscope to visualize ENT symptoms. In this video, Dr. Ummat demonstrates the best practice of using the Remmie 3 otoscope.
With successful deployment at PM Pediatrics, Rocket Doctor, KidsDocOnWheels, and Medtronic Labs,6 DPC clinics, and over 2,000 retail customers, Remmie Care received 47 Net Promoter Score (above healthcare industry average), 3.9 stars on Amazon. 67% of customers surveyed mentioned they have avoided an unnecessary in-person visit, and 80% remain engaged after 6 months. It is time for Remmieto revolutionize the common acuity pre-visit planning and assessment process so we could resolve staff shortage, streamline workflow and divert unnecessary ER visits to primary care or online visits.
Remmie Care is an AI-powered ENT pre-visit assessment service for high risk (7 risk factors) patients. Patients can be identified at well-child visits, recurring visits, or post-surgery. It deploys in 3 steps:
Remmie offers connected otoscope and Remmie App including the Remmie Care service to patients and the Remmie Data Service portal to clinicians for “pre-visit assessment”.
Patients sign up to receive the Remmie connected otoscopes with Remmie.ai image guide to capture images using a mobile device. The offerings include three months of Remmie Care service, paid for by the provider or plan. Their continued subscription is by contract between Remmie and a care-providing organization. Patients submit images and symptom summary via the Remmie App with Remmie.ai qualifier to checkon quality uploads.
Clinicians will review records remotely and asynchronously on a contract-defined cadence and report possible findings to prompt patient for in-person or telehealth visits via Remmie Care portal, to initiate a live telehealth visit via Remmie live video streaming, or existing EMR. Remmie Care is fully compatible, integrable and scalable with existing EMRs with go-live per contract. (Pipeline: Remmie.ai diagnosis assistance to support clinical decision making).
Within three months, Remmie and care providing organization jointly measure utilization (whether and how much patients and clinicians use the service), and survey satisfaction (how satisfied they are with the service with Net Promoter Score) for success case in publishable white-paper and further expansion.
Remmie Otoscopes are an FDA-registered Class 1 devices and FSA/HSA eligible. Currently shipping from remmiehealth.com, Amazon, and 4 global distributors, with choice of wireless (Remmie 3) or USB-connections (Remmie 4).

Anything that isn't acutely dangerous, it's great if you can manage it in anyway asynchronously because it helps smooth the communication and everybody doesn't have to be in the same place at the same time.

The value add for me is for parents to be able to take good images. I could then offer telehealth visits much more quickly and efficiently for both me and patients. I could also ensure they reach out to me before going else where.

I no longer want my patients to come in at 20 degrees in the snow, driving for 45 minutes to the clinic just for meto peek in the ear.

Yes, different accounts can be created, for instance for each family member, up to 8 to use one App. You can switch between accounts, and they'll be separately accessible by the respective account owners. One user can also create different "Profiles" within each account. The Account owner will have access to all Profiles.
Remmie Care is more specialized for ENT conditions, with high fidelity imaging, pediatric and ENT usability, and AI assistance (eardrum finder and image qualifier) to enable accurate photos by families and a data service portal for clinicians to access. Assessment can be either asynchronous or synchronous, lower price, ease of use for clinician and patient, with reimbursement codes for visits previously not possible online. TytoCare is a handheld solution for home and in clinic that enables clinicians to conduct medical exams from anywhere for accurate diagnoses – e.g., listen to heart and lung sounds, look into the ear canal, throat, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, and is only synchronous. Remmie Care has a lower price point than TytoCare and works directly with specialized providers for acute, chronic ENT conditions reducing the burden on ER and post op ear tube surgery from the comfort of your home connected to certified clinicians.
You can also upload images from other otoscopes—not just Remmie.
