To prevent injuries during checkup, it's important that your child remains still. Children may get anxious and nervous, so we suggest holding them to prevent movement, or have someone aid you in calming them down when using our product. If your child is curious and turns their head to look at your phone screen, we would suggest using your phone to attract your child's attention to stabilize their head.
Be sure to straighten the ear canal by gently pulling back the ear lobe and moving your otoscope while holding it straight. We strongly suggest proceeding slowly to avoid touching the ear canal walls as well as the ear drum.
Never push the specula tips into the ear canal, and always move slowly and stop at any sign of sensitivity.

No, the otoscope cannot be used for the eye. It is only meant to be used for ear, nose, and throat; this is the FDA site listing the product classification our products fall into. Pink eye is an exception to this, since its symptoms are often reflected in the ear and throat.
Patients can save images and videos and send them to any doctor of their choice; however, they will need to setup their appointments with the doctor of choice. Please note that Remmie Health does NOT handle doctor's service or payment.
Information is stored in Remmie's photo gallery, in addition to the device that the patient used.
Remmie PRO on the App Store and Google Play Store can be used without creating an account.
With a single full charge, it could last for approximately 15 times of 5 min per use. We recommend a full battery charge and thorough alcohol wipe cleaning of the lens before each use.
Oil, finger prints, and dust can result in dirty lens and blurry images. We recommend thoroughly wiping the tip of the lens and the light with an alcohol wipe before each use. Image quality is something we take pride in, with a focal length with an approximate 1cm distance to the object being imaged. With a clean lens, images should appear very clear. Please reach support at support@remmiehealth.com if you still get a blurry images after cleaning the lens.
Please enable the location feature in Remmie Pro's settings. Currently the app will crash after clicking the "Connect" button. Location service is required for Remmie Pro to locate the otoscope and connect to it automatically. Please check on the Location settings in the iPad Settings and enable location services to be on "while using" the device. Please reach out to support at support@remmiehealth.com if your app is still crashing after turning on the Location Settings.
Remmie PRO package provides 25 specula per box.Specula can be re-ordered from Remmie's Website for bags of 10 per pack: https://remmiehealth.com/products/specula
We recommend disposing the specula after a single use.
The housing of the otoscope is made of ABS plastic. The specula is made of Thermo-plastic elastomer rubber 85°
The depth is typically 0.5-0.8mm depending on each individual and their anatomy. The focal length of the lens is 1cm, and the otoscope should never touch the eardrum of any sensitive tissue in ENT.
No, Remmie is not designed to remove ear wax. Patients should consult a physician for wax removal. Over the counter recommendation is typically an oil or a wash, never a wax pick tool for consumers.
We have a few reviews on the Amazon or Remmie website. Any complaints on Amazon about connection is resolved in the Remmie PRO where it’s now streamlined and much improved.

Remmie Home Ear Monitor and Otoscope are a FDA Class 1 registered medical device and complies with FDA regulatory requirements.
We recommend viewing our video tutorial that gives a comprehensive demonstration of how Remmie works: http://shorturl.at/fhpUX. Alternatively, please refer to our user manual which is also available online.
Remmie can provide visualizations for ear infections but does not offer a diagnosis nor medical advice. We urge patients to share symptoms with board-certified professionals to help you formally diagnose your condition.
Remmie can be used for household ear, nose, and throat symptom visualization, alongside being able to share these visualizations for telemedicine consultation. For home use, it helps users with preliminary observations of symptoms related to but not limited to: ear infection, common cold, flu, sinusitis, allergy, pharyngitis, strep throat, sore throat, pink eye, hand-foot-mouth disease, and in some cases, toothache. The telemedicine connection included in the Remmie App allows requesting a video consultation with a healthcare provider on telemedicine partner platforms. Providers will consult, diagnose and prescribe as necessary.
Newborns and infants under two (2) years of age have delicate anatomy and should only utilize Remmie under professional supervision.
Remmie is currently not covered by insurance, but telemedicine services may be. Please refer to our service providers’ terms and your insurance coverage for details.
Telemedicine visits with cash payment on an urgent care (pay-as-you-go) basis is $50 with CareClix, and monthly subscription is $29.95 with MyTelemedicine. PM Pediatrics provides urgent care to kids and young adults 8am-12am daily across 15 states. Our partners are working on accepting major insurance for telemedicine visits so the costs may vary from cash payments. Remmie will not charge for telemedicine visits and provides discount with these partners. Which telemedicine doctors can I connect with? The Remmie App connects patients with board-certified healthcare providers on CareClix, MyTelemedicine, and PM Pediatrics platforms. Patients can select available providers, wait in line, make an appointment, or receive a call back for a video consultation. The typical wait time can be as short as 20 minutes.
You’ll be able to use Remmie to communicate with your children’s providers if they are using Zoom or are contract providers on CareClix or MyTelemedicine. For all other providers, you can upload photos and videos prior to a virtual visit using your doctor’s preferred telemedicine platform. We are working on expanding our provider coverage and partnership so that in the future, we can accommodate more doctors and patients that are currently not within our network.
Included in the box are the Remmie monitor, a disposable specula, charging base, USB charging wire and adapters, and alcohol wipes for sterilization. The Remmie App is available for download for iOS and Android.
The Remmie app will work devices that support the following systems: iOS 13.2 or later, and Android 8+
Please send all customer inquiries to remmie@remmiehealth.com, contact us, or schedule support for a time to connect with our technical representative team. A customer service representative will return your email or call within 24 hours.

Tips for Consistent Connection and Better Quality Videos
Before you connect your mobile device with Remmie Otoscope, we recommend you:
1) Go to your Wi-Fi Settings and tap, "Forget home/office Wi-Fi Network," which is the Wi-Fi that your mobile device automatically connects to
2) If you are using an iOS device, go to Auto-Lock Settings and set Auto-Lock to "Never"
Your default Wi-Fi connection can interfere with the Otoscope Wi-Fi signal and result in a discontinuous live stream. Turning off the auto-lock setting will ensure a stable connection between the Otoscope and your phone. Disabling both functions will greatly improve streaming consistency and quality.
